I use various level chroma of blue(cool color) as the background to form a contrast to merchandises which mainly are in red, yellow and green(warm color).
Also, it can emphasize the merchandises in store and vary in colors can increase the color harmony and catch visitor's eyes.
The saturation contrast (the various levels of fullness in blue) enhances the sense of layer and spacious in sight.

Triadic color scheme

The traditional Chanel color,black and white, are still the core of these designs as all of which are for fall to winter season. However Karl Lagerfeld picked a few of color pink and green into the collection, which two colors are located in the opposite side on the color wheel. Also, although these two colors are in contrast, they present the harmony as they are in similar hues and values.

Black, white, and gray are still are the core of the Chanel collection, although green and pink were added in this collection. As the tones green and tints pink are the Saturation constant to the white and back

Analysis

There's an untainted core to this label—the tweeds, bows, camellias, and ineffably pretty cocktailwear—means Lagerfeld can take full license to nod to all sides of the road. So, within a relatively tight palette of black, white, and gray, he made free with current references to graphic checks (done in a painterly way on sleeveless suits), metallics and sheerness (in tissue-fine silvery pink lamé and crunchy, sparkly paillette embroideries), and lingerie notes (a bit of boudoir styling in marabou-heeled shoes and frilled negligee sleeves).

Receding (cool) colors are the core of this collection. These colors represent the fall in winter and the Chanel style (back, gray and white)

Chanel 08 fall to winter special

The whole stage with white and silver colors build up the image as elegant and pure.
Also the Back collection are totally contrary to the background and distinct in the fashion show.
Karl Lagerfeld brought jewelry into Chanel and the elegant feeling, so silver and white are widely used in his designs.
